Flowers, Produce, Herbs, Fruit grown for CSA
Currently we offer only Specialty Cut Flowers in subscription Shares. We are keen on growing heirloom vegetables, flowers and herbs . We do grow heirloom vegetables we sell at the online facebook market Ozaukee Area REKO Ring and West Bend Area REKO Ring. Below are some vegetables we typically have available and the month they are available in.
June: snow peas, sugar snap peas, spinach, chard, kale, asparagus, green onions, sorrel, oregano, mInt, radishes, baby greens -like baby beet greens, garlic scapes, broccoli, heirloom lettuce mix w edible flowers (triple washed and ready to eat) and lettuce heads, lovage, french tarragon, chives, mint, radicchio, strawberries, early cabbage, thyme
July: Still some peas, fennel, kale, chard, lettuce mix, beets, cucumbers, summer squash, hoping for ripe greenhouse tomatoes this year, radishes, oregano, french tarragon, kohlrabi, broccoli, french tarragon, oregano, mint
August: celery, heirloom tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, summer squash, beets, beans, onions, garlic, broccoli, kale, chard, oregano, mint, basils ( all sorts of varieties), melons, artichoke /cardoon
September: winter squash , heirloom tomatoes, potatoes, carrots, beets, onions, garlic, kale, chard, spinach, mustard greens (such as mizuna), lettuce mix, lettuce heads, some lingering cucumbers and summer squash, broccoli, brussel sprouts, cabbage, artichokes cardoon, thyme, basil, sunchokes, elderberries if requested
October: Winter squash, spinach, onions, garlic, kale, chard, lettuce mix, carrots, broccoli, arugula, mustard greens, cabbage, potatoes, sunchokes, oregano, french tarragon, thyme, sorrel
So what do we grow anyway for our CSA Produce Shares? We are keen on growing heirloom vegetables, flowers and herbs so expect alot of variety. This is a guestimate regarding what month these goods are available based on our past 8 years of growing for our CSA. On average you receive 12 different items in your basket every week. Here is a list and in time we will add to this website more info on the individual veggies, etc
